“It’s just really cool to see that when you do follow what God commands and what God asks of us, He can bless that beyond what you can imagine.”
Though Joy grew up having a relationship with Jesus, she drifted away from God and church during college. When she moved to Southern California, she was searching for community and decided to get plugged in at church again. She signed up for Rooted, started attending, and felt the Holy Spirit prompting her to sign up to serve in Youth. Though she didn’t know what to expect, Joy decided to follow where God was leading.
Every week as she served junior high students, Joy began to build relationships with the other volunteers. She met people who were passionate about pursuing God and formed deep friendships. By being obedient to the call God had put on her heart, Joy saw an incredible answer to her prayer for community.
