Welcome To Rooted Online!
Hey Online Rooted Facilitators!
Justin here — your Online Discipleship Pastor at Mariners. I get the joy of helping our Online community take real steps into the Loop, the discipleship pathway of our church. Rooted is one of my favorite parts of that journey because you get a front-row seat to life transformation.
From daily devotions to weekly group time, from sharing stories to serving together, and especially the prayer experience that can be truly life-changing, I’m excited to see all the ways God is going to move in and through your group this session.
This page has all your key dates, important info, and the resources you’ll need as an Online Rooted Facilitator. And if you ever have questions or need anything at all, I’m here to help.

Serve Experience
Why We Serve Together in Rooted Online
One of the most powerful parts of the Rooted journey is the Serve Experience—and that’s no different for Rooted Online. Serving together as a group isn’t just about doing good; it’s about growing closer to God and each other as you live out your faith in a tangible way.
For Rooted Online, we partner with one of the great ministries of Mariners Church: ESL Café. This online café creates space for your group to serve together by joining live, conversational English classes with people from around the world who are seeking to learn English.
It’s simple, meaningful, and impactful. No special skills required—just a willingness to show up, speak kindly, and help someone feel seen and supported.
When your group serves together, you’ll experience the joy of being part of something bigger than yourselves. And through ESL Café, you’ll witness firsthand how God is using Mariners Online to reach the nations—one conversation at a time.

Every Online Rooted session comes with a great service experience. Justin works with our Outreach Team to schedule them for you. You will get details from him. If you have questions reach out to Justin or your coach any time.
Great question! Our hope for every Rooted group is that they continue on in Biblical community, practicing spiritual rhythms together as a Life Group. In some cases, the Rooted Facilitator goes on with the group as the Life Group Leader. In most times the Rooted Facilitator is helping to identify that potential leader from within the group.
We ask that you “recommend” a leader to our team by week 6 of Rooted so that we can then do the work of vetting, interviewing, and eventually training as the group takes their next steps. Additionally, we cover more of what to look for in a Life Group Leader in our video and Online trainings.
Our team is here to equip, support and pray with you throughout the Rooted journey. If you need additional support please reach out to us! To your coach or Justin any time.
