Intentional Parenting at Mariners Church equips and inspires you through community gatherings and resources to help your kids follow Jesus and fearlessly change the world.
God’s chosen method to multiply the Earth is family. It’s also the primary relational picture we have throughout the Bible: God is Father, we are co-heirs with Christ, and we have been adopted into His family. However, we still live in a broken world, and things often do not go the way we want. Intentional Parenting at Mariners Church is a gathering of parents who want to share experiences, seek godly counsel, and place Jesus at the center of their home. Intentional Parents create environments of truth, grace, love, forgiveness, and ultimately point to Jesus. The church is here to help parents create a home of discipleship.

Join parents from our church who seek to have God at the center of their home, could use community with others in the same life stage, and are comfortable admitting we all need help at times. While none of us are perfect parents, we can be intentional with the homes we create.
Our upcoming gathering is a practical, one-hour session of experiences, conversations and resources to help you be a confident and intentional parent.

The Intentional Parenting at Mariners Church Podcast is for parents who want their homes to be centered on Jesus and His Word. Join us for encouraging conversations with experts and everyday parents, inspiring teaching, and more as we become more confident as parents.
Jared Kirkwood
Jared Kirkwood is the Executive Pastor of Ministries and Irvine Lead Pastor. He has been at Mariners Church for 20 years and has served as the Junior High and High School Pastor, Lead Pastor for the Rooted Network, and as a Teaching Pastor. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Vanguard University and a master’s degree in global leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary. Jared is married to his wife Kim, and they have two ridiculously awesome kids, Asher and Ellie. Jared enjoys a round of golf with friends where he spends more time in the sand than he does at the beach.
