Outreach Weekend

Outreach Weekend is one of two times a year where we get to put the heart of our church on display through giving and serving. Scroll to learn more about how you can jump in!

At-Risk Youth
Without intervention, statistics show these youth will have a difficult time flourishing in all aspects of their life—education, relationships, and even health! Our Lighthouse Community Centers, Foster Youth and Family Ministry and Child Sponsorship programs are purposed to serve youth who are impacted by cycles of injustice, restoring hope in Jesus’ name.

Sat, Dec 7 • Volunteer Here

Individuals in Crisis
While much of our efforts are focused on the long haul of transforming communities in our cities through consistent partnership, we also seek out individuals facing crisis needs. Through the Mariners Thrift Store, Food Pantry, Disaster Relief, and Legal Ministry, we are able to assist individuals with immediate tangible support ranging from clothing and food to financial empowerment and career readiness. Also we are excited to announce that we will be launching a ministry for people experiencing homelessness in 2020.

Sat, Nov 23 • Volunteer Here

Under-Served Communities
We have worked with the city to identify the following communities that are often overlooked or neglected: families impacted by disability, ESL and international students and members of our military. Mariners is regularly engaging these communities through workshops, language tutoring, community events, hospitality and ongoing relationship.

Sat, Nov 16 • Volunteer Here

Mon, Nov 18 • Registration Currently Closed

Outreach Ministries are funded above and beyond the church’s operating budget and designed to mobilize thousands of volunteers.  This has resulted in a much larger, cause driven budget with greater volunteer ownership and Kingdom impact.

Give Now

In a culture where the holiday season can become about our own comfort rather than focusing on others, we invite you to take a step of giving through our Christmas Gift Lot. Grab a tag from the lawn at one of our weekend services now through Dec 8. The gifts that you provide will go towards more than 6,000 at-risk youth, military members and other community partners throughout Orange County. Your gift supports ongoing relationships with the communities we are called to serve and is a tangible way to demonstrate the love of Christ during this Christmas season.

As we step out on this faith adventure, we will have the opportunity to visit our partners in Mexico, Pastors Daniel and Tury Nunez, of Ministerios Transformacion. This is a unique opportunity to serve alongside our in-country partners, to bless members and leaders in the church community. We”ll serve by constructing homes within weekends. More importantly, we get to continue fostering the relationship between our church and our partners.
