Change the World, One Garment at a Time

Saturday, July 25 | 1p to 3p | Mariners Irvine, Community Center Auditorium

Some of the most powerful moments in our faith happen when we roll up our sleeves. Join us for an afternoon of hands-on service at the Mariners Church Community Center, where the Transformational Loop comes to life and ordinary acts of care become extraordinary expressions of Christ's love.

Perfect for Life Groups

Looking for a meaningful way to grow together beyond your weekly gathering? Serving side by side is one of the best things a Life Group can do. Bring your whole group, or come on your own and serve alongside new friends. Rooted alumni, this is your next step. No experience needed, just a willing heart.

What to Expect

Orientation & Encouragement: We begin together in the Main Auditorium with a brief time to align our hearts with God's mission for our community.

Hands-On Service: You will serve in two areas of the Thrift Store, preparing donated clothing with care by sorting each item and styling the racks so every guest who walks in experiences dignity, order, and beauty.

Debrief & Reflection: We close by sharing how we heard God's voice through this act of service.

Why It Matters

The Thrift Store and Food Pantry are more than places to shop or receive food. They are places where our neighbors are seen, valued, and loved as children of God. Every garment you sort and every rack you style helps create a space of connection for families on their journey toward self-sufficiency.

Good to Know

Wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes suitable for light activity.

Optional: bring a bag of shelf-stable food or Thrift Store items to donate upon arrival.

For you were called to be free, brothers and sisters; only don't use this freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but serve one another through love. Galatians 5:13
