It is a common misconception that loneliness is experienced solely by the isolated; in reality, the ache of disconnection can be felt just as sharply in a crowded room or in relationships with others as it is in solitude. Even Jesus, in His most vulnerable hour in the garden, sought the presence of His friends, only to find them asleep. So, how do we practically bridge the gap between being "with" others and truly feeling connected to them? In this Practical Hope Workshop, we will deconstruct loneliness by exploring the meaning of connection, learning why we may struggle to accept kindness from others, and gaining tools to practice fostering connection with others. We will also unpack the spiritual discipline of solitude, as we seek to discover where God is in our moments of feeling uncared for. Join us as we seek answers to these questions together!

Childcare will be provided on the first floor of the Kids building. Check in for childcare will open at 12:30 pm. Please note that lunch is not provided. Register your kids here!
