A widely cited 2021 survey found that 3 in 5 Americans feel their mental health is negatively impacted by the holidays, a trend that’s increasing year-over-year.
During the holidays, we experience greater rates of depression, anxiety and isolation. We struggle with finances, complex family dynamics and grief and loss. If you are stressed over the holidays, you are not alone. In the midst of everything, we can be tempted to reach for less-than-healthy ways to cope.
