Right now, 80 children are staying at Orangewood Children’s Home after being removed from unsafe situations. This shelter is meant to be a temporary place. Children are only supposed to stay for 10 days, but some have been there for months, waiting for a safe and loving home. Unfortunately, there just are not enough families.
We as The Church can be part of the solution. Let’s work together to help these children find families and prevent more kids from experiencing abuse and neglect.
Together, we’re uniting to respond to an epidemic problem: there simply aren’t enough foster families ready to welcome children. Maybe God isn’t calling you to open your home but you can pray, bring a meal, or volunteer in other meaningful ways. Many people are open to helping, but they don’t know where to start so we are partnering in an event that could be the very thing that inspires them to take that first step. This is a collaboration with the County of Orange and more than 30 child welfare agencies, churches, and organizations across our region. Join us for a powerful Night of Hope!
