Event Title

Mariners Church has been doing ministry in the Minnie Street community of Santa Ana for over 30 years. When the ministry began, Minnie Street was one of the most at-risk neighborhoods in Santa Ana. In the midst of warring gangs & poverty, the church & the community came together to create a safe space for children in the neighborhood. While challenges still exist, we have seen God do the miraculous- community leaders & volunteers have stepped up & in to engage the community to help break cycles of poverty & see lives restored.

This is why we celebrate. We celebrate the life change & transformation in the community. We celebrate God’s faithful love to the families on Minnie Street and Wilshire. We celebrate the relationship between the church and its neighbors. And we celebrate in faith, knowing that God will continue to transform the community, reconcile relationships, and raise up leaders. The Block Party is a celebration of all things past, present, and the things to come.

Volunteers will serve by hosting various activities at this Block Party such as face painting, games, serving lunch, and engaging with the community.
