Exceptional Families

“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” – Psalm 139:14 NIV

Exceptional Families promotes meaningful connection between Mariners and individuals with disabilities, their families and caregivers for the purpose of connecting people in relationship. We encourage you to take the first step by expressing your interest in serving with Exceptional Families.

Exceptional Kids

Offered during our Saturday Night and Sunday Church Services, Exceptional Kids is a volunteer-based program for kids with developmental, physical, neurological delays and/or disorders. Our hope is that with an Exceptional Friend, your child will be able to participate in activities that take place in their age-appropriate classrooms. We provide the accommodations for your child so you can attend service knowing they’re in a safe, loving environment.

Exceptional Sports

Starting this fall, we are partnering with Special Olympics in our Community Center as they practice for their Team Competitions. (Nov 19-Mar 4 – Floor Hockey. | Mar-June – Basketball). As volunteers, we will be “Fans In The Stands”, cheering for the athletes as they practice with their coaches. There will also be opportunities to assist the Special Olympics coaches during some of the skills instruction. Volunteers are needed to assist the team with set-up and tear down of the equipment.
