Our goal is to provide each kid at Orangewood Children’s and Family Center a rolling duffel bag so that they can transport their belongings from one residence to another with dignity.

There are around 3,000 foster kids in Orange County. Orangewood is a 24-hour emergency shelter care facility, operated and owned by the County of Orange Social Services Agency for children who have been abused, abandoned and/or neglected. Each year, 800 kids aged 0-17 years old cycle through Orangewood.

Many times, kids who come into Orangewood with nothing more than the clothes on their backs. Thankfully, they are cared for and given clothing and necessities and more while they are housed at Orangewood!

Unfortunately, the kids are currently experiencing traumatic transitions in their lives... and may be moving again and again in the near future. We have learned from our partners at Orangewood that a practical and thoughtful gift item would be a rolling duffel bag so that the kids transport their belongings with dignity and ease.
