Thank you for your interest in volunteering at our Dancing Without Limits event!
Dancing Without Limits is a red carpet event dedicated to celebrating people living with disabilities (ages 14+) . We’ll have food, tram rides, lights, cameras, live entertainment provided by DJ Noah, games and yes, a red carpet entrance. We can’t wait for the opportunity to dance, laugh, grow in fellowship and serve alongside you as we host a memorable night for our Exceptional Adults.
Things to know:
Arrival time for volunteering is after the 5p service in the Community Center large room. Once you arrive you will receive your assignment for the evening. You can expect to be placed anywhere from game host to food server, but keep in mind that your ultimate role for the evening is to make connections with our Exceptional Adults and help them to feel like the stars of the night.
The event ends at 9p but please plan to stay until 9:30p.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Can my children volunteer with me? A: Yes, they are welcome to join.
Q: What kind of attire should I wear? A: The dress code is open. You can dress up like you’re going to prom, or come casually dressed in blue jeans. Please take into consideration that you will spend most of the evening on your feet.
Q: Do I need to eat dinner before? A: Pizza and caesar salad will be provided for all volunteers and dance participants during the event. If you have any dietary restrictions that exclude those items, please plan to eat dinner before.
Q: What if I can’t come on time/need to leave early? A: We are so grateful that you are interested in volunteering at this event and while we wish we could make individual accommodations, for an event of this size we kindly ask that you commit to the entire event time. If this event doesn’t work for your schedule, please email [email protected] to find out about similar volunteer opportunities coming up.
