For over 15 years, Mariners Church has partnered with Nairobi Chapel and Mavuno Church, led by Reverend Nick Korir, Bishop Oscar Muriu, and Pastor Muriithi Wanjau. Through this collaboration, we have built deep relationships and learned invaluable lessons from our Kenyan family. Both churches meet community needs while discipling congregants to advance the Great Commission. Their partnerships with local businesses and organizations provide education through Logos Christian School, create employment at Bawa Hope, and restore dignity through end-of-life care at Living Room International. We are honored to support these transformative ministries.

On this Faith Adventure, we will experience the vision of our Kenyan church family and ministry partners, including:

Nairobi Chapel Founded in 1952, Nairobi Chapel is led by Reverend Nick Korir and Bishop Oscar Muriu. They have planted many churches, including Mavuno Church, and have impacted countless lives.

Mavuno Mavuno Founded in 2005 as a Nairobi Chapel plant, is led by Pastor Muriithi Wanjau. Rooted in its community, Mavuno’s discipleship strategy mirrors Mariners’ Transformational Loop. Mariners adopted Mavuno’s Mizizi/ Rooted, as a cornerstone of its discipleship pathway.

Logos Christian School A ministry of Nairobi Chapel, Logos Christian Schools provide biblically based education, equipping children for God-glorifying lives. In 2024, they celebrated 15 years, now serving over 450 students. Mariners supports Logos through child sponsorships and teacher education.

The Living Room Founded in 2009, The Living Room serves the seriously ill in Western Kenya, offering holistic hospice care. They believe every person is created in God’s image and provides dignity and quality of life. We support their Hospital and Care Center, offering compassionate care to patients.

Bawa Hope A ministry of Mavuno Church, Bawa Hope empowers marginalized artisans by creating markets for their products using sustainable materials. We support training programs that equip artisans with business development skills.
