Weddings & Memorials

The Chapel is a beautiful, intimate venue dedicated to serving the Mariners Church Community to celebrate and commemorate life’s sacred moments.

Weddings

“So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate.” Matthew 19:6

Wedding FAQ

How far in advance can I schedule a wedding?

You may book your wedding up to one year in advance, allowing you and your family ample time to prepare while staying in alignment with our church calendar.

What days can I schedule my wedding ceremony?

Weddings are typically hosted on Fridays and Saturdays, subject to Chapel availability. Saturday ceremonies must begin no later than 12:30P. Due to weekend worship services, ceremony start times are strictly enforced. Weddings are not hosted on Thursday evenings or any time on Sundays.

How long is the Chapel booking?

Your Chapel reservation includes a generous 4-hour window for setup, your ceremony, and tear down (e.g., a 12:30p ceremony reserves the space from 10:30a to 2:30p).

Can we book a reception?

Our venue is entirely dedicated to the sacred ceremony of marriage. To preserve the intimacy and spiritual focus of this milestone, we do not host wedding receptions of any size or type.

What does it cost to reserve the Mariners Chapel?

The reservation fee is $3,500. This service charge provides a licensed Mariners Pastor or Elder, a dedicated “day of” wedding coordinator, and a professional audio technician.

Can we have an outside, non-Mariners pastor officiate our wedding?

A Mariners Pastor or Elder must officiate the wedding ceremony. Outside pastors are welcome to participate in specific elements of the nuptials (such as the welcome, prayer, or vows). This requires prior approval from the Wedding Director and overseeing Discipleship Pastor.

Can we get a Mariners Pastor to officiate an off-site wedding?

Our pastors primarily focus on our on-campus ceremonies and we encourage couples to reach out directly to our pastors to inquire about their availability to officiate off-site.

Does Pastor Eric Geiger officiate weddings?

Due to his rigorous teaching and ministry schedule, our Senior Pastor is unfortunately unable to accept invitations to officiate wedding ceremonies. However, we have a dedicated team of approved pastors available to officiate your special day.
