Welcome to Mariners Church Preschool Ocean Hills
A ministry of Mariners Church, Mariners Church Preschool Ocean Hills is designed to meet the needs of the whole child by creating environments and experiences where a love for God is fostered and a Christ-Centered self-image for children is encouraged. Through weekly Bible and chapel time and daily child-focused biblical activities, our interactive environments will provide developmental opportunities for consistent spiritual growth in children.
The preschool opened September 2016. If you are interested in the preschool, complete the Interest Form below or contact Liz Graham with questions.
Director, Mariners Church Preschool Ocean Hills
Mariners Church Preschool Ocean Hills provides a comprehensive learning experience for children ages 2-5 years of age. With a variety of schedule offerings, we have a program that’s perfect for you and your child, including full-day and half-day programming.
Mariners Church Preschool Ocean Hills is a ministry designed around the needs of the child as a whole. Creative and interactive learning experiences provide an environment where a love for God and others is fostered and a Christ-centered self image is encouraged.
It’s our belief that young children grow and develop best in a nurturing, co-learning environment guided by intentional, child-centered practices. Our teachers develop authentic, meaningful relationships with each child in an interactive, play-based environment where children acquire the foundations for reading, writing, logical thinking and problem solving.
MCP understands that parents are the child’s first teacher. We work to partner with families to provide the best early childhood foundation possible.
Our curriculum fosters growth in children spiritually, emotionally, physically, socially and
intellectually helping them develop into confident, competent and caring individuals and life-long learners.
Aligning with the California Early Learning Foundations, MCP curriculum emerges from the child’s interests, conversations, ideas and people in the environment. Teachers and staff develop curriculum to meet the current interests and needs of the children in the class through observation, interaction and inquiry.
Children experience an enriched learning environment through collaboration and small group work where they feel supported and nurtured throughout their early childhood journey.
We use curriculum that stretches across both indoor and outdoor classrooms, where children continue learning while experiencing God’s creation!
Our professional, Christ-following teachers
are trained in Early Childhood Education, hold a California Child Development Permit and are CPR/First Aid certified.
