REACH – Be a church with a heart to REACH and embrace our community and youth
a)* Our campus and resources will be strategically used to REACH our community
b)* Impact surrounding JR/SR high schools within the community
c) Increase our REACH DNA through storytelling, new REACH opportunities, and by training our people to be "Contagious Christians"
BELONG – Maximize our campus to be a blessing
a)* Create an environment on our campus that is welcoming to our church and the community and makes people want to stay
b) Continue BELONG environment on our campus during the new construction period with the aid of good signage, shuttles and alternate routes to help guide and direct people.
c) Provide multiple food options and activities after services for our church attendees that
encourages them to stay
GROW – To be a church that grows mature and generous believers
a)* Offer church-wide Bible reading initiated every year (i.e. Destinations) and continue to expand and increase participation in TruthWorks
b) Create opportunities for more people to be in flow question Small Groups, and develop Prayer Teams to support our ministries
c)* Generosity - Each ministry to have a way to GROW giving and tithing
SERVE – Be a church with a servant's heart like Jesus
a)* Provide opportunities for believers at Mariners Church to know their ministry
b) See Global Outreach become more visible in the ministries in our church
c) Expand Lighthouse to bring church to the community
LEAD – Recruit, identify and develop spiritual leaders and export our "best practices"
a) Offer "Tool Belt" classes yearly and provide a LAB experience- (March 2008) – Offer one time, two hour Leadership Clinics
b)* Be a church focused on exporting ""best practices"
FOR OPERATIONS SPECIFICALLY -To be a church that embraces & models stewardship and generosity
a) Iincrease the number of people involved in Generations, and introduce planned giving at our church
b) Initiate debt reduction plan
c) Integrate throughout our ministries the financial philosophy paper
