Psalm 33:11
"But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of His Heart through all generations."

Generations…Leave No Doubt is about expanding our Student Ministries and facilities, and reaching students and our community for Christ. Together, we want to be united in prayer. Our greatest desire is to have 100% of our church family praying:

  • that students will know Christ by the time they turn 18.
  • that we can provide a space where students can make life-changing spiritual decisions.
  • about how God wants you to be involved.

At the beginning of each year, the Elders of Mariners choose a verse as a theme for that year.

Take a look back with us and reflect on God’s faithfulness and leading in the past and into the future.

1997 Church verse: Zephaniah 3:17
The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing
.

God, thank you that you rejoice over me! Remind me today of your faithful love and saving grace.

1998 Church verse: Ephesians 3:20-21
Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen!

You are the giver of good things, God, and have blessed me more than I can imagine. You are worthy of my praise!

1999 Church verse: Hebrews 10:23-25
Without wavering, let us hold tightly to the hope we say we have, for God can be trusted to keep His promise. Think of ways to encourage one another to outbursts of love and good deeds. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other, especially now that the day of His coming back again is drawing near.

Lord, you’ve created us to be in relationships with one another. Help me this week to find ways to encourage someone in my church family.

2000 Church verse: Acts 20:24
But my life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus – the work of telling others the Good News about God’s wonderful kindness and love.

God, my significance lies in you and doing your work. Who in my life needs to hear your Good News?

2001 Church verse: Colossians 2:6-7
And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to live in obedience to Him. Let your roots grow down into Him and draw up nourishment from Him, so you will grow in faith, strong and vigorous in the truth you were taught. Let your lives overflow with thanksgiving for all He has done.

God, thank you for growing my faith. Show me areas in my life where I can trust you more and give me the courage to do just that.

2002 Church verse: Joshua 22:5b
Love the Lord your God, walk in all His ways, obey His commands, be faithful to Him, and serve Him with all your heart and all your soul.

Lord, you are eternally faithful to me. Please forgive me when I’m not faithful to you. Reveal your ways to me, so that I can serve you with all my heart and all my soul.

2003 Church verse: Romans 1:12
I’m eager to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours. In this way each of us will be a blessing.

God, life can be more rewarding and fun when we go through it with other believers. Help me to be a blessing to those around me.

2004 Church verse: Ephesians 4:16
Under Christ’s direction, the whole body is fitted together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.

Thanks for creating each of us with unique gifts, making the body of Christ fit together perfectly. God, help me find ways to use my gifts to reach students for your glory.

2005 Church Verse: Psalm 100:4-5
Enter His gates with thanksgiving; go into His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and His faithfulness continues to each generation.

You are good all the time! Thank you for the blessings you have showered on to Mariners Church. Thank you for the people you’ve brought here and for the lives that have been changed for your good.

2006 Church verse: Colossians 1:9b-10 (personalized)
We ask God to give us complete knowledge of His will and to give us spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way we live will always honor and please the Lord, and our lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, we will grow as we learn to know God better and better.

-----
As we move into our Generations campaign, give us knowledge of your will and wisdom to do it. Show me how you want me involved in reaching the students in our community for Christ.

Proverbs 3: 5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
Do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.

God, it’s easy to trust you when things are good. Help me to trust you and learn from you in difficult times as well.

Proverbs 3: 7-10
Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom,
Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil.
Then you will have healing for your body
And strength for your bones.
Honor the Lord with your wealth
And with the best part of everything you produce.
Then he will fill your barns with grain,
And your vats will overflow with good wine.

Lord, you are worthy of my honor and worthy of my humble gifts. Thank you for your faithful provision and your abundant blessings. You are good…all the time!
