ways to give
Pledges
and giving to Generations are designated specifically
for the campus expansion, separate from giving to the
ongoing needs of the church. There are several ways
to give and participate in Generations.
• Give a one time gift of any dollar amount.
• Begin a faith adventure (pledge) with a monthly or annual gift. The giving period for Generations is through December 2009.
• Give on-line or leave your gift in the Worship Center offering boxes.

how does a pledge or three-year commitment work?
A
pledge is a commitment to give monthly and/or
annually a specified total gift at the end of three
years. Pledges are typically fulfilled in several
ways:
• Gifts by check or credit card
• Gifts of appreciated stock or financial securities
• Gifts of appreciated assets such as land or real estate
To make an ongoing monthly or annual pledge, pick up a pledge card in the church office on the third floor of the Life Development Building or at the Information Center on the patio. Pledge cards can be returned to the offering boxes in the Worship Center or the church office.

understanding sacrifice
Each time we make a choice, we sacrifice an item,
opportunity, or direction for another. Some
sacrifices are so small they go unnoticed. Others
are tougher or more deliberate, but absolutely
worth the cost: Giving an extravagant gift to a
loved one. Becoming a parent. Going on a mission
trip. Choosing to follow Jesus Christ. Specific
sacrifice looks different for each of us. It
involves asking God what He wants you to give, and
responding obediently to His answer. It means
asking, "What can I do without?" "How can I change
my lifestyle so I can give more?" Sacrifice is
stretching yourself beyond what is comfortable
within your means. Determining your participation
in Generations is – like any significant decision –
a thoughtful process requiring prayer and
investigation. We invite you to read what God's
Word says about sacrifice and giving.
