ACTIVITIES
	In the several years Connections has existed, we've had quite a range of activities. For the latest on our events, you can always call our hotline at 949.854.7030 x498 or simply look below. And in the past, we've had nationally known Christian comedians like Nazareth and Paul Aldrich perform for Comedy Nights. At one dance, we had over 600 singles rocking out for six hours with a rock band, DJ, and a custom dance floor! If you don't know where Mariners is, or where the Community Center is on Mariners' Campus, please see the church site for maps. NOTE: There will soon be a great deal of construction on the campus in connection with the new chapel, so please start parking in the lot at the front of the Community Center (next to Bonita Canyon Rd.). 	Upcoming Connections Events
	Fridays Pastor Thomas Rose		We are in a New Series entitled, “The Deceptions and Lies That We Believe.” Come join other Christian single adults as we look into how to have Biblically sound precepts on how we view God, ourselves, and our surrounding relationships. The lies that we believe…a lot is thrown at us from all directions. Some stuff sticks as a result of faulty thinking about God and ourselves. Come and discover the liberty that we have in Jesus Christ. He came to set the captives free spiritually, emotionially and physically. Our evening is structured as follows: A tantalizing dinner with awesome fellowship, starting at 6:45 p.m. Cost is $5 (new lower price). Tremendous worship, led by live worship bands! Time in the Word! (i.e., get fed and then get fed.) Table talk discussions to get to know yourself and each other! After Connections, we enjoy various fun activities such as ping-pong, air hockey, table/board games, speed dating, Sock Hop dances, dance lessons, Karaoke, and other fun Get-To-Know-You activities!
	Tuesday August 12, 2008 7:05 pm		Mariners Church Night at Angels Stadium Angels Stadium, Anaheim, CA Come join your Mariners Church family for a great time at the Ballpark! Root for the Angels as they take on the Seattle Mariners! Plan on arriving early to watch members of the Mariners Church family throw out the first pitch and participate as batboy and batgirl. You can purchase your tickets for $20, which includes a T-shirt and thundersticks, online or at the Information Center on Saturday night or Sunday morning. 	Saturday August 16, 2008 10:00 am to 10:00 pm		Connections at the Beach Corona del Mar State Beach Come join us for a day at the beach including a giant bonfire at night with smores! Bring your own food, drinks, chairs, guitars, frisbees, etc. Contact Lisa Braski to find out how much firewood to bring and so we can purchase enough smores for everyone. Parking is $10.00 at the beach or free on the street.
	Friday August 29, 2008 7:00 pm to 10:30 pm		Connections Labor Day Weekend Kick-Off The Community Center Come join your Connections Singles family for our Annual Labor Day Weekend Kick-Off B-B-Q! Enjoy a scrumptious B-B-Q with all the trimmings! Our B-B-Q starts at 7:00 pm, and the cost is $7.00 which includes the B-B-Q, desserts and lite refreshments. After dinner, we’ll have our normal Connections evening, featuring our awesome worship band and a short devotional, followed by a fun “Get to Know You” game! See you there!
