Below you will find the answers to some common questions about Casa de Baja. If you have a question that is not on the list below, you can email your question to: casadebaja@marinerschurch.org

How will we know how to build a house?

Baja Christian Ministries (www.bajachristian.org) is our partner and they have been building homes for years. They supply the foundation and building materials; we build the house. We will be bringing 10 construction professionals to help us.

What will a typical day look like?

We will wake up early, have a short morning devotional time, head out to our building sites. We will be split up into groups of 20 students per house. After a long day of building and playing with the local kids we will head back to the ranch for dinner and an evening program.

Is it safe?

Although there are natural risks to traveling to Mexico and building a home we believe this trip is safe. Our lodging is secure and we will have medical professionals available for any injuries.

Do I get community service hours for this?

Hard working students, that contribute to the team effort, have the opportunity to earn up to 30 hours of community service credit.

Who Can Participate?

We welcome high school students from Orange County area schools. Students do not need to be a member of Mariners Church however, they should be someone who can benefit from this experience. This ministry requires maturity, team work, sacrifice, and a servant's heart.
